In the following image I have made a few adjustments to get the desired effect.
Firstly I adjusted the brightness and contrast to make the image stand out. Then I used a skin smoothing technique to give the skin its uniform appearance. This also took away the shine caused by the camera flash on the face. The glare was removed from the lips making them look smooth again.
I then whitened the eyes, darkened the pupils and brightened up the iris colour. Stray hairs across the face were removed at this stage and any remaining marks on the image were cleaned up.
Finally a soft glow filter was applied to the picture giving a nice overall effect.
I have adjusted this image more than was required to show what can be done with different adjustments.
For adjustments like this to be successful a close up picture of the face is required as it shows maximum detail making it easier to work with.
